久しぶりですね！

I've neglected this blog for so long! Honestly, mainly, because I wasn't inspired much to write anything. I was all the while pretty active on my Tumblr, Twitter and Poupee accounts though.

To kick start my pattern and keep myself in the mood for blogging, I've decided to do the popular A-Z Challenge, all to do with living in Japan. From various favorite goods to favorite places to be. With winter almost at its end, as the last month of winter is nearly here, I am more excited to start this challenge! The weather in Akita however, does not even scream spring.

Two Essential Japanese Eye Products!

1.Meishoku Kumaless under eye concealer.

[Not sure where you can find it outside Japan, sorry]

This concealer is available in 2 shades: Brown zone, and Blue zone. Mine, below, is Blue zone [a peachy / salmon color, to hide blue-ish, purple dark under eye circles]. The Brown zone tone, is of course for brown dark under eyes. It works wonders, plus how unbelievably cute is the packaging?! It was also featured in a couple of Japanese magazines. [scans below]

2. Hada Riki Medic: Kumargic Eye

This is such a great under eye cream. I apply it before the Kumaless concealer. No fragrance, no irritation, AND! it works!

VERSACE Wet Lip Gloss Review

So, I think I’ve used this product enough times to give it a proper deserving review, and I’ve gotta say, this is by far my favourite lipstick ever. Now, I am NOT a lipstick fan, so I was iffy when ordering this, but, since the description says this lipstick has a lip gloss feel, I gave it a “Why not?”

I’ve never tried any VERSACE makeup products before, and, as far as I’m concerned, their discontinued for the most part. What a shame! The lipstick really is a gem! Currently, I am in Toronto, but there is a store outside TO, I believe near the Niagara Region, that still carries VERSACE makeup. I’m sure Amazon carries it too. I can’t wait to try more VERSACE makeup before they stop distributing it completely! Additionally, I am flying to Japan next month (eek!) and finding it there will be..well, impossible.

I’ve been looking for a great coral/orange lipstick, and thought of just getting MAC’s ‘Morange’, but, I was never a fan of MAC (I’m more of a Sephora girl), but than I found this! Upon opening this, I thought “Whoa”, this is gonna be some bright orange! But, NO, the color is ahh-ma-ziing! Super natural, hydrating and luscious! Not at all “orange-y”! It incredible how different it looks on your lips. The color looks a bit…well…psycho in photos AND in person, but on the lips, it just glides with an orange sheer coat.

Also, my friend from Japan, sent me this Hello Kitty Mini Lipgloss even before I bought the lipstick. She said, she can see me in orange, so she got this for me! Putting the sparkly lip gloss after makes an incredible result, since the two compliment each other so well!

Currently I am trying to spend my money on the things I know I will need to live in Japan, and not things I’ll end up leaving behind in T.O. I’m trying to limit my wish-list to things I can but while in Japan, or will 100% take with me there.

A Toronto boutique and online store specializes in hard to find and discontinued makeup. I’ve been looking for a great orange/coral lipstick for this summer. I’ve heard, and seen a lot of MAC MORANGE recently, but I do not own, and never have owned anything from MAC, so decided against it. It cost around $15, so I’ve decided to add just a bit and got for a very similar shade from VERSACE. Original price of the lipstick was around $40, but with the sale, it came down to around $20-$25. I believe you can still find VERSACE makeup at AMAZON.com

No, not the blog URL. I’ve been accepted into 国際教養大学 (Kokusai Kyōyō Daigaku) or simply AIU in 秋田市 (Akita Shi) in 秋田県 (Akita Ken), 日本. [Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Japan.] I’ll be there starting late August until late March, 2012! Although I’ve just finished only my first university year here, I do need a break from Canada! I’ve been complaining about it for a while, and I think everyone is thrilled I’ve finally shut up about it. Akita is extremely convenient as my best friend already lives there and I know a few people in Tokyo I’m dying to see. I’ve been thinking about changing the layout and re-vamping the blog as a sort of “International Student’s Crazy Life Blog” which I was told it’ll be by the office at my university, but that’ll take work. Akita is going to be the closest I’ll be to Russia ever since I was born there and my parents decided to move to Europe…then Canada. So, I feel like be sort of retouched with my roots, as Russia is only a boat ride away.

Momentarily, saving $ is my main goal…so we’ll see how that goes! XO And of course, waiting for August! <3

Romping it up!

Over the past couple of months, my life has changed drastically. I haven’t blogged since….March? In any case, I’m back to regularly blogging. I am now a high school graduate and a U of T student! I have a new job, and practically, everything in my life has flipped.

I’ve seen my style grow so much so quickly! I’ve graduated to SCawaii. (Well, mainly because Cawaii! discontinued T^T). I was also planning on graduating from Popteen as well. It never really inspired me, and I’ve never been a fan of Kumicky, and seeing her on the cover ALL…THE…TIME…didn’t make me too happy. Just when I thought I was going to buy my last spring issue, I’ve heard that a new model came in – Rina Carolina! There’s been soo much controversy since she joined. But I really do love her! (she’ll never replace Reira Kurihara though! I PRAY SHE JOINS SCAWAII!) I know that although I graduated to SCawaii, I still inspire from a 12 year old?! Oh well, I love Rina’s style – no one could ever guess her real age, and she is the only reason I continue to buy Popteen! Plus, she also is of mixed heritage!

I’ve really been overwhelmed by the amount of rompers, mostly denim, in Popteen in their June issue! And of course…I couldn't resist:

I love rompers! Their so easy & comfortable. And really a big hit this season.

Nostalgia – Missing Cawaii! & Honey Girl

I feel very nostalgic at the moment.

Flipping through my Honey Girl and Cawaii! issues over and over. Honey Girl discontinued in January 2009 I believe. I was absolutely nuts over Honey Girl. It was perfect for me. I loved everything about it. I was devastated when they discontinued.

And than came Cawaii! I loved that magazine, but it I didn’t LOVE it - that is, until Reira became a regular model for the magazine. I absolutely LOVE her. She was, and always will be one of my style icons. June 2009 was the last issue. I read Reira’s blog and it was confirmed, Cawaii! discontinued…

This could not get any worse for me style wise…my favourite boutique to shop at, Star Fashion, has closed down recently.

I never say this…but…FML.

I know they have a second location, and I will check there soon. I hope they remain open, however, it is the smaller of the two boutiques.

My birthday is only a few days away, and it is not going as planned. In fact, my plans are so ^%$#@ I've cancelled the whole thing. Just gonna sleep till noon, mop around all day, and hope for something better. “Happy” 18th to me…

Chinese New Year + VDAY + Family Day!

【 CHINESE NEW YEAR ♥ VDAY ♥ FAMILY DAY】

I know that the holidays have passed, but I just got home from my BF’s house recently. I got to stay over at his house most the week. Chinese New Year fell on VDAY this year!♥ What could be better? Family gathering w/ my Valentine there, just celebrating the 4 day weekend we got off school. Family Day was on Monday, and surprisingly that’s when www.I-MIUSA.com package arrived! I got to unpack it after I came home, and will post about it in the next post! Jerry got me an incredible gift!
